The City Nature Challenge is an annual international four-day global bioblitz at the end of April, where cities are in a collaboration-meets-friendly-competition to see not only what can be accomplished when we all work toward a common goal, but also which city can gather the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people in the event.

City Nature Challenge 2022 important dates:
  •  Make and share observations: April 29 – May 2
  • Get all your observations uploaded and work on identifying: May 3 – 8
  • Results announced: May 9​

Upload your picture to iNaturalist.
Create your own iNaturalist account
  • Visit iNaturalist.org
  • Download the app from the AppStore or Google Play
  • Sign In
  • Start sharing your observations
  • Get feedback from actual scientists, experts, and other naturalists
 
Participate in Northern Colorado's challenge: 
  • In your inaturalist App, search for projects
  • Choose the City Nature Challenge 2022: Northern Colorado
  • Start observing!
  • Only observations taken in Larimer and Weld County between April 29th and May 2nd will count.
